I realize that they're easier & less expensive to manufacture, but if you spend more than a few minutes trying to mount it, I'd say something's wrong...
Normaly you can mount these clips in few seconds. i dont know what you doing wrong. where you try to mount the cooler, insode or ourside of your case

As I prior stated, it was outside the chassis. I don't remember specifically how I mounted it anymore (from which side). There has been two pages of discussion on this including my criticism. My view then and now is that difficult mounting systems subtract value from Scythe as a CPU HSF brand.

For some, the mounting is difficult. For others, it's not a non-issue. Perhaps a manufacturing flaw was the reason--that myself and others have brackets that are a millimeter or even a fraction of a millimeter off of Scythe's design and thus more difficult to mount. Or perhaps those with issues, including myself, are weaklings or are afraid of using excessive force.

Your right, to mount the clips needs heavy pressure, but you will sie the benifit in your temperatures.

I'll put it like this; I was impressed with performance though I've learned my lesson. I'm going to stick to simpler mounting, as I won't always have an extra hand to put add'l force into mounting. I found build quality on the heatsinks to be good but not the best. I ended up being a bit disappointed in the somewhat-shined base. Then again, it's probably a good thing it's nickel-plated, as the un-plated copper base on my Ïnfïnïty is quite tarnished now.
