Scythe 120mm Slot-Fan....DIY.

I found a method to turn a standard 120mm fan into a slot fan. I have made several of these fan-mods so far......here's a Scythe fan with this mod being used as a bottom intake fan with a filter, and serving to cool a hard drive that is sitting on top of it.

This fan mod has many possibilities.....it can fit into spaces that a normal fan cannot. It can bend the air intake path ninety degrees in the space of 25mm. This same mod can be applied to thinner fans. I have modded an 80x15mm fan to work the same way. It's relatively easy to do.......but too bad Scythe doesn't make something like this.

The output from this slot-fan is directed at the under-side of the fanless video card.....so it cools both the HD and the GPU with one fan.
