Default Addon to increase efficiency and decrease turbulence

Hello , can you tell me please if Scyhe can produce a stick on plastic to attach to the central rotor of the fan to decrease turbulence and increase the airflow speed, thank you for the answer

Hello , of course the nose of the aircraft is even better ( conical ) to reduce even more the air resistance , I already have installed inside my case the fans with the added nose and I think now the airflow is a bit better because the airflow dont impact anymore against the flat face of the motor of the fan

a hub with such a form wouldn't be bad for airflow. but as add-on i think it's not a good idea. the problem is you wont be able to attach it absolutely centric so the rotor will unbalanced.
and an unbalanced rotor will damage/destroy the bearing i almost no time.

The one I added already is made of a very very light foam ( I can barely feel any weight ) and I was very carefully to center properly this add on ( I was rotating this add on to make it perfect centered on the motor ), therefore no problem with unbalanced weight

Hi there,

The idea is basically made for aircrafts because they are also flying and have some air coming from the front as you know. The hub on fan has a bit of a different task there and especially beause of compatibility issues we don#t plan to do anything like that. The problem is simply, that you can not mount the fan everywhere, if we make the fan like that.

Next thing is, that if we make it light and attachable it will not be really the ideal, then people would also complain about the stiffness and aerodynamics. It is an interesting idea, yet not really useful for fans as far was I can see it. Thanks for supplying it, I appreciate it

Cheers,
Andy

I did some tests with streamlined fan hubs several years ago - there was no measurable difference in temps and only a slight difference in terms of noise. So a "nose cone" may look nice but in fact it doesn't do anything useful. Get yourself an Aerocool Turbine if you want one factory-installed.

I understand , the spinners reduce drag by streamlining airflow which in turn provides improved cooling and ram air induction

Talking about the efficiency of fans: is Scythe planning an own concept for fans that center up the airflow like those "Air Penetrator" fans from Silverstone or the new Cougar Vortex? Maybe some fixed blades after the rotor that take the spin out of the air and transform it into a forward-moving.
Hope you understand, what I mean.

Since two years ago I already attached and are working continuously those Add-ON noses on my beloved Yate-Loon 140mm fans,
