Nehalem compatibility?

Any news about mounting kit for LGA 1366 for actual coolers?
Noctua give it for free, Thermalright and CoolerMaster have them. Scythe?

We are working on this part at this moment. The clips are actually ready to be supplied but we need to pass some patents first. After these are pressed, we'll be able to suply the clips. There will be a CPU Cooler which is compatible to socket 1366 and is scheduled for Christmas. We will try to give a service to supply the clips in some way or another, but this is not the final solution. The clips will soon be supplied with all Scythe CPU Coolers. The release of the new socket is 17th November (as far as I remember) and the Motherboards will be in the shops probably one week after that. So there is still some time, stay tuned =)

Hello there,

I can not give you much information, because we are pressing a patent right now. Please wait a bit more for details. It is not 100% sure when it will be here, I assume it might be early December if everything goes according to plan. There will be 2 types to apply to all our coolers.

Both Kits will be Push-Pins but you can modify them. This is for the mainstream. Mugen 2 will have the backplate solution for 1366.

Also, will these be free upgrades for our kit like Noctua are doing for their customers?

Sorry for the late respond but it took time to pass the patent, get the final information and then set the whole thing. So now it should be officially announced on Friday if hiroshige will be back on track, as he is ill today. It should be fine, latest is the Monday. There is no way we can give away the clips for free, so it will just cost not much but it needs to be ordered, yet it will be a packaged item, so you get the clips always safe. We will have 2 clips, one VTMS (Mugen, Andy Samurai Master, Mine, Shuriken) and one standard clip for Ninja 2, Mini Ninja, Zipang, Kama Angle etc.

The first shipment will arrive in our warehouse around 18.12.2008, and it should be possible to pre-order it. Please bug your shops to order it, because distris will order it =D
