I'm looking for CPU cooler for one older machine. It has somehow complicated space configuration, so Shuriken seemed to be very nice solution, but unofrtunatelly even universal retention kit doesn't support Socket A/Socket 462. I would appreciate any ideas.
Thanks in advance ![]() |

socket A is dead for years. you wont see any new coolers for it.
also it's questionable to buy a high-end heatsink for a soA. the actual value of the pc's core components wont be much more the costs of such a heatsink and cooler. if you need a heatsink try to get an old one from ebay and save the rest of the money for a new machine. /e: just took a closer look at the shuriken dimensions - the base is similar to the andy's so it's technically not really possible to make an adapter. on soA the mounting holes are on the long side of the socket while the mounting clamps will be attached to the short side of the coolers base. thus the clamps would have to go "around the corner". |

This simply is not an option. Situation is given and I cannot do anything else with it.
Unfortunatelly there are no suitable Scythe products on ebay. I think I'll have to grab Katana cooler and move power source somewhere out of the box. |

Well, as it was said befor,e the socket A is super dead
![]() We had coolers for it, but the socket was rated as unimportant, so the decision was made. You can try to locate a Katana (CU) CPU Cooler. We do not plan to manufacture any socket A coolers for mow, sorry.
