Default Grand Kama Cross 3

Hi there, I would like to buy Grand Kama Cross 3 but my Cooler Master HAF XB have a bit different air flow inside it:

(note: mainboard is placed horizontally)

and I would need to reverse the way fan is mounted. Is it possible ?

Hello deith,

if you use this case, I wouldn't use the top fan and the Grand Kama Cross 3 without turning the fan cooler of 180 degrees (it is possible). Because so can the Grand Kama Cross 3 sucks the cold air from the top of the case and the rear fan blow out the warm air. It seems for me the best solution.

I cannot reverse the top fan in the case without damaging it because previous owner permanently attached there 240 mm fan. So is it possible to change the flow on the Gran Kama Cross 3?

Yes it is. 4 screws fasten the fan onto the heat sink.

I would note reverse the top case fan - I would remove it completely.

Will check both solutions but without removing the top fan (I'm aware it will affect a bit the test).
Thanks for the clarification .

Default tests

i5-3330 & asus strix OC gtx 980
(tests: prime 95 and continuous 3dmark first strike for 1h)

- disabled 240 mm fan and standard flow for grand kama cross 3 with forced > 1300 rpm
  1. cpu max temp = 53
  2. gpu max temp = 70

- disabled 240 mm fan and reverse flow for grand kama cross 3 with forced > 1300 rpm
  1. cpu max temp = 57
  2. gpu max temp = 72

- enabled 240 mm fan and reverse flow for grand kama cross 3 without forced rpm (max was 450 rpm)
  1. cpu max temp = 54
  2. gpu max temp = 67

For stock cooler and enabled 240 mm temperatures where as:
  1. cpu max temp = 66
  2. gpu max temp = 70

I know I should remove the 240 mm fan (for tests) but I would not be able re-attach it again
