Smile Controlling speeds of fan

Hi,

I'm thinking to get 3 of these fans for my z170 pro which supports fan controlling.

So is the GlideStream 120 PWM SC speed controllable? In the description and in the video it says there is a switch with 3 speeds, does that mean there the only 3 speeds? Or can you choose any speed through the motherboard. The PWM in the name suggests you can change the speed, however why are there switches on the fan?

Also have the same question about the Slip Stream 120 PWM

Thanks,

Hi,

The fan GlideStream 120 PWM SC is PWM controlled, just like any ordinary PWM fan. The fan speed is controlled by the motherboard. But with the three-position switch you can limit the maximum speed of the fan.
L: 300 (±300) ~ 800 (±10%) rpm
M: 300 (±300) ~ 1150 (±10%) rpm
H: 300 (±300) ~ 1500 (±10%) rpm

Slip Stream 120 are only pure PWM fans without switches.
