Angry Kaze master 5.25" burn!!!!

I have ordered a Kaze Master 5.25" black, from amazon.com I have paid $49.37 for the device and shipping to my country. It took it 9 days to get to my place.

I was sooo happy I opened the package, and installed the device it was working perfectly, after 1 day (the day after) I switched my pc on the device was making a loud sound form the beeb (continuously) and the screen went all blue, i switched it off and try to see the problem or fix it, i switched it on 3 times with the same error, the last time the inverter (the yellow circle thing) made a bad smell smoking burn....
PSU=350W

Hi q8ti,

Thank you very much for your inquiry and trust in Scythe items.

The mentioned incident is usually happing with with a few pieces of the Kaze Master Fan Controllers. Unfortunately it seems that you have one of those. We are sorry to hear that I would like to support you there. To be able to help you we would need some further information about your location and ideally also the invoice copy. This would make things easier and we can inform you about further steps.

The PSU should not be the reason, at least chances are low on this to be the source of the problem.

Greetings,
Andy - Scythe EU

I have ordered another one and I was wondering, because my home socket wall is 210v-220v not 110v would that might affect the burning thing that happened to my old kaze master?
Thank-You

Hello q8ti,

just to make sure: You do not try to connect the Kaze Master directly with your home socket, do you?
Of course you have to connect it to your PSU which should then be able to work with both voltages.

Cheers,

lol u made me laugh out loud, how in earth can i plug the fan controll in a home socket with a 220VOLTS!!! that would blow up the fan controller and defuse the home electricity LMAO. I use a power supply but sometime i feel its kind of crappy cuz its a fujitsu siemins computer that i opened up it has only one 12v rail so i just conneced it to any 4-molex. and the next day it got burned, i baught a nother one, but i wont test it yet till i buy a whole new core i7 pc with a propper power supply, and will inform you if anything goes wrong.
Thank-you
