Sometimes one or more of the channels begin to blink with the zeros.
I've tried to change the connected thermocouples with the 2 extra ones in the package - no effect. Please advise me someone. The fans work ok, in the manual mode. Last edited by igork; 08-28-2009 at 08:46 PM. |

Hi,
normaly the panel only shows 0,0°C when the thermo sensor is not connected to the panel. So please check all the cables. chris

No, the sensors are connected perfectly. I've tried to connect only one, only two, or all four at a time. Still, I have zeros. The sensors are also look good and measure ~6KOhm resistance in 28-30 degrees Celsius ambient.
That is the second Kaze Server I have problems with. I have returned the first to the store, because of the short-soldering of two nearby components and also the PCB looked to be corroded and with remains of sticky liquid. The store replaced the product, and now I am dealing with the second. This one also looks corroded, also with remains of some liquid on the PCB ( and this is not soldering flux... ), and there is this problem with the temperature reading. One of the chip dies also has air bubbles in its covering. In all my experience I have never seen before such poor quality of assembly. I thought better of Scythe, absence of QA is something fit for a no-name company, and not for a respectful manufacturer. I am very disappointed with the quality of Scythe products, I am astonished that I have to pay something like $50 for a product that needs to be replaced, and still does not function. |

After 2 support request through the site, one pm to Mr. Sumo and two posts in the support forum I give up.
Tomorrow I will return the Kaze Server to the store and will never buy anything Scythe. Awful product quality, inexistent support, disappointed customer. |

Hi,
I checked your support request and could not reply earlier. The first one never made it to me, my apologies that it took longer as I'd like it to be. The mentioned problem sounds like a malfunction. Did you have the same problem twice or was it a different error/malfunction? It is first time seeing Kaze Server shows 0.0 °C. The easiest is if you try to exchange again, we would receive the malfunctioning unit then and analyze the problem. There is always at elast 1% RMA-Rate which is normal for electronical devices to happen. Once again my apologies that it too too long to reply.
