Hi All,
I recently installed the SCKMRD-2000-BK internally, the LED turns green showing there is power in the device however it does not recognize any memory cards. I've tried various Sandisk and Kingston SD and MicroSD cards however none of which are read (the LED doesn't even change to red, just remains green). Ive tried reconnecting the device to several other internal USB header and tried using its external cable on two different PC's yet no result. I was wondering is there any fix or possible driver that i may need? Thanks in advance! Last edited by Ravvi; 02-02-2010 at 10:55 AM. |

Hi Ravvi,
hmm ... normal LED switch to red, when memory card is inside. Maybe it is a real hardware defect by Kama Reader 2.

Hello, I have the same exact problem. Using Windows 7 64bit, I have the reader installed, and it worked properly before on Vista 64bit. It's installed internally, and Windows won't recognize it, it shows up in the device manager as an "Unknown Device" However, the green light does go on, but it obviously won't read any cards, and the drives don't show up at all in the "My Computer" window.
Here's another person with the same problem from another forum. Scythe Kama Card Reader - New-System-Build - Homebuilt-Systems |
