Hi
About Your question and Kingston Hyper X.
I have them on Asus Rampage Gene with the Big Shurikan as the picture shows.It look odd because of the
camera to close when taking it but the Ram is down and connected. The conn in the board is
of standard and therefor the height also among all boards I beleive.
The height (top of mem) reading above board is 35mm when reading and adding 5mm not used at the end of the messuring tool.

The height below Mugen is 40mm. 5mm higher than my Big Shurikan that have 35mm and the CPU build
on the board is about 7-8mm.
My build and Y can see the CPU gives 7-8mm.

The fan can be adjusted in a little higher possition as the clips for it slides in a grove of the heatsink.
I hope you understand my points and with this can make a good decission. To my understanding there
will not be a problem with the KingstonX Rams.
