Default Kabuto on AM2+ board--mounting problem

I had a bit of a problem mounting my Kabuto on a Biostar TA790GXB A2+ motherboard. Is there any particular trick to mounting these? It's not the first time I've mounted for AM2 (the first was on a PCCHIPS A13G+ V3 using a Thermaltake heatsink) but it's been the most difficult to mount. I simply couldn't get the second latch onto the retaining bracket. Any ideas? To fix it temporarily, I had jimmied each side of the mounting bracket and let it "drop" 1 notch (there are 3 on the AMD bracket) so I had more room to work with, but I'm not happy about it being relatively loose. Then again, I don't exactly know how to define "loose" for AM2.
