Default Ninja PLUS Rev.B on ASUS M2N32 SLI Deluxe

Hi,

Just built my new machine, and have installed the Ninja PLUS Rev.B onto the Asus M2N32 Sli deluxe motherboard. Long story cut short, ordered the MB & cooler without checking compatibility. Whilst waiting for the delivery found out they were stated as incompatible. When everything arrived, I tried to assemble, it was tight but managed to install without too much trouble.

I am now experiencing temperature issues and wonder if the incompatibility is not due to physical constraints but performance incompatibility too. CPU under load is hitting 65 Deg C & idle is around 49-55 Deg C. CPU Heat sink is not that warm, M2N32 cooling pipes are too hot to touch. Have tried re-seating the CPU heatsink twice with arctic silver 5, no real gain achieved.

Could the fact that the Ninja's heat pipes are touching the M2N32 cooling pipes, be causing the lack of heat transfer up the stack?

Any thoughts?
