Info: This is not a PWM fan. The "4-pin adapter" resembles to the old style 4-pin molex connector as found on IDE hard drives and optical drives not the 4-pin PWM CPU fan connector on your mainboard. Just to make this clear.
The S-Flex fan itself only has a 3-pin connector (+/- plus yellow speed signal line) and doesn't support PWM operation. The Slipstream delivered with Mugen 2 does support PWM (4-pin fan connector).
