It would be nice if the main body (including fan) could be unclipped from a framework that is first attached to the motherboard that does not ever have to be removed.
The problem is getting your fingers under the fan area to rotate the motherboard retention clips as usually their are components (capacitors etc) in the way.
Normally you would use a screwdriver to rotate the clips but this is not an option in this case.
