Hmm good question. I believe it fit both ways but I just sold my rampage yesterday so I can't be 100% sure.
What I do know is that the heatsinks around the socket don't cause problems so the only thing that could go wrong is the fan touching the rams or something.
To be safe I'll say I'm 99% sure it fits the other way too.
