[Suggestion] 6 inputs fan/thermo controller 5,25"
Good evening everybody.
First of all, many thanks for listening to the consumers, it's a very nice detail of you.
I would like to make a suggestion of an "innovative" product. I've just bought 2 x Scythe Ultra KAZE 2000rpm and 6 x SlipStream 1600rpm fans for my new i7 rig. And I would like to propose you a Fan/Thermo controller with 6 inputs, taking the Scythe Kaze Master ACE 5,25" as a starting point.
It would be an exclusive product, as there isn't any similar model in the market. The closest one would be the double-bay NZXT Sentry LX with 5 inputs/outputs, but, sincerely, it doesn't even come close to the Scythe one in terms of quality and reliability.
The product would be adressed to high-end air-cooled systems. It would be perfect to have controlled fans and temperatures of CPU (1), Northbridge (2), RAM (3), HDD (4), Mosfets (5), Case (6).
2 Ampere per channel would be more than enough to be able to handle triple high rpm fans for CPU (3xUltra KAZE 3000rpm will need 3x0.60=1.80A to spin at +12v), and multiple case fans attached to one channel (7xSlipStream 1200rpm fans need 7x0.26=1.82A, or 4xSlipStream 1600rpm ones need 4x0.41=1.84A).
I personally think, massive fan controllers with +30 W per channel would be a waste, such as the Sunbeam Rheobus Extreme (30W) and Lamptron FC-2 one (45W), as there is no point on regulating Deltas/San Ace fans (their 120x120x38mm 4000rpm models need near 30W each). They are meant to be adressed to extreme air overclockers who don't care about the noise, and those 4000rpm fans are not meant to run as a 24/7 ones.
Thanks for reading me.
Cheers.
