I'm not actually using the Kama-Panel's fan controllers for anything other than testing new fans outside the case. I just left the wire from the controller easily accessible.

The problem for me with these controllers.....first, the voltage does not go low enough. The low end should be 5V. Or even lower if the controllers used a PWM fan control, rather than the analog control they do use. Some analog controllers give a 12V burst for a second or so, to get the fans spinning at a low voltage setting. And a thermo-regulated control would be really nice.

But maybe I'm asking too much from a simple controller.
