Hi, im new here.
I would like to change th box cooler on my Athlon II X3 440 fo somehin more powerfull but im limited by the height - i have an AeroCool Qx-2000 case which consist of 2 levels and the max heigh of the bottom level is 120mm. The mobo is placed on screaws in some height and procesor has olso some height so i end up wih about 11mm for the cooler.
My question is:
Can i demont the top screaws on the heatpipes as those are 15mm which could save exact the needed space. Or maybe cut/abrasive feaw mm from top of the screaws ?
I would like to use a tower cooler construction instead of a low profile like shuriken because of the air flow and also use of a straight wind tunel from the front of the case to the cooler.
