Scythe was granted the HardwareLUXX "Manufacturer of the year"-Award 2011 in the category "Coolers". HardwareLUXX is the biggest German-speaking Platform for PC-Hardware-Tests. In its' first christmas survey "pcmasters.de" asked its' readers to vote for their favorite CPU coolers 2011. With 30 % of votes, Scythe was able to win the pcmasters "Manufacturer of the year" Award 2011 by a clear margin. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters. Scythe announces compatibility of its' CPU coolers to Intel's LGA 2011 socket. The required accessory for mounting on LGA 2011 socket is included in all current models labeled "Rev. B". For older Back-Plate models, the "Scythe Screw Kit for Intel LGA 2011" is available. Due to high TDP characteristics of LGA 2011 CPUs, Scythe recommends the adoption of high perfomance CPU coolers.

Scythe is officially confirming the compatibility between its own CPU Coolers and new sockets FM1 and AM3+. All current Scythe CPU Coolers models are therefore already compatible to the new to AMD® sockets FM1 and AM3+. Users can either utilize the Scythe CPU Coolers they own or get a new CPU Cooler from the shops as no extra clips or mounting kits are required.
